Yesterday being Jordan's (our editor) last night in the country, he took us writers out to a bar (Xaymaca). Never mind that I was dressed like a ten-year old in my little robot shirt. I HAD A BLAST.

We got there pretty early, like 9-ish, so the band wasn't there yet. We ordered a few drinks and had the usual insane "conversations", which were never really about anything in particular.

A digression: I like blue margarita, regardless of whether or not it comes in the sissy glass. And I like licking the salt off the edge, which in retrospect was a horrible idea because I really don't know where those glasses had been. The slice of lime, however, is a little too gay for me. As we would find out later, a slice of lime can sissify anything. Even an ice bucket. Even a French fry.

Around past 10, the music started. It was a reggae band called Collie Herb, and they were really good. I mean-- irie, man. xD A few minutes into the set I had already scoped out the guys in the band (not hard to do since we were right in front of the stage. I mean literally my feet were on the stage), and gleefully decided that their lead guitarist was cute. ♥ Needless to say I spent the rest of the evening checking him out. :D

By the end of the first set, practically everyone in our table was egging me on to man-up and approach the guy but naturally I was too chicken. Haha. Yop was particularly (wonderfully) encouraging, telling me stuff like "he's trying to make eye contact with you!" and "he's trying to make an impression". xD So I was totally swooning. You've never lived if you've never watched a band with a totally cute musician rocking out like, a meter in front of you. ~_~

That little wince that he did whenever he was throwing down the riffs was the SEXIEST. THING. EVER.

OH HAI THAR IM JUST WATCHIN INTENTLY. xD

Oh and it gets better. By the end of their perf, I was still pussyfooting around on whether to talk to him or not. Yop, who seemingly decided to be an enabler last night, went up to the guy while the latter was packing up his instruments. So the whole time I was like "OMG!" and when Guitar Boy actually came over to my table a few minutes later I was even more like "OMG!" and then he introduced himself and sat down to chat so I was totally like, HAPPY. xD We only talked for a few minutes, but I got to find out about how he had to quit school, and left the UP music conserv because he didn't want to do the straight classical music that was being taught there (he's a rebel that way), how he skips meals just to buy his instruments and pedals and stuff, and his plans to go to college. ~_~

Our conversation basically ended with me realizing that like, most of my companions had already gone home. xD Before parting, I asked for his email ad, but he gave me his number instead. :3

Ok this is already waaay TL;DR. xD I'm off to go shower now. Will be comic book hunting later.

Moral of the story: I should talk to boys more often. :3

Aw, geez, cut me some slack here. The fact that I even talked to a guy, any guy, last night is good progress. xD
